Stabilize Medical Care in the Casamance Region of Senegal

Our goal is to improve the quality of life of the entire region

We provide much needed medical supplies for Kafountine and several village hospitals and dispensaries in the surrounding areas. We update hospital equipment and facilities. We educate mothers on the importance of receiving consistent prenatal and postpartum care. We are strong advocates for family planning and for making modern contraceptives available on a consistent basis. We retrain and update the skills and knowledge for midwives and traditional birth attendants. We encourage safe, compassionate and supportive birth environments with skilled attendants. We provide safe and compassionate maternity and baby care and promote breastfeeding. We educate parents on the signs and symptoms of the early onset of illness to encourage them to seek medical care for their children.
